Thanks to everyone for their kind words on my post. And thanks as well to the others who have tried and enjoyed this wine too. Glad to see others feel the same way as I did about it.

I will be posting more about the Apfel Eis in the near future. I have a bottle and will be putting it head to head agains the Neige apple ice wine, as well as pairing it with a few food items. Should be interesting.

I tasted this wine once with a comparison to a few ciders and found this to be much more complex and enjoyable. Very delicious, excited to see it in more restaurants!!

Richard,

Great write up on the apple ice wine! I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but your entry has made me want to get to the store very soon to pick up a bottle! Thanks

I'd never tried an apple ice wine so I was intrigued by this. The aroma comes through with a crisp apples and a slight hint of tartness.

I expected this to be cloyingly sweet based on the nose but was pleasantly surprised by the balanced sweetness and apple tartness that created a well rounded flavor. I'm interested in trying Neige now after reading this article to compare.
