The Roster

Foodies Eat & Greet at 90.9
Update: Due to an egregious oversite on our part, we initially failed to acknowledge Erin Cook’s supreme cranberry orange dark chocolate cookies. Sorry Erin. And thank you!
Per request, I present to you the following roster of blogs represented at 90.9′s first “eat-up.”
It was great fun and I appreciate the participation. Special thanks to the following who contributed to our repaste:
Mary Reilly provided the magnificant spread:

Mary Reilly, of Cooking 4 the Week, provided a delicious spread.
Lentil Salad with Roasted Kohlrabi and Caramelized Onions
Roasted Beets with Skordalia (Potato-Garlic Sauce)
Butternut Squash Baklava (savory, not sweet)
Rosemary Foccacia
Citrus Salad with Pickled Shallots, Kalamata Olives and Arugula
For ingredients and preparation tips as well as photos, please visit her blog, “Cooking 4 The Week.”
Jennifer Adams prepared the killer fresh caramelized onion dip and brought potato chips. She offers a summary on the event and insights on food writing over at Palate-to-Pen.
Jaqueline Church of The Leather District Gourmet brought the oh-so-very-good, yet oh-so-very-bad-for-your-waist bundt cake.

Chocolate ganache and raspberry cupcakes provided by Lynne Viera of how2heroes.com.
Lynne Viera, founder of how2heroes.com furnished us with cupcakes. Sinful chocolate ganache and raspberry cupcakes. I lost a couple of belt notches simply walking by them.
Jessica Fechtor of Sweet Amandine upped the calorie count with her sublime tart.
The Passionate Foodie Richard Auffrey was our sommelier, serving up several piquent vintages.
Cake and Commerce creator Linsey Herman sought metablic balnce with her gluten-free savory tart. And savory it was. 03. 12. 09 Update: I forgot to mention the gluten-free chocolate oat cookies!

[...] In the meantime, Julia, a freelance writer for the Boston Globe who Chels and I met at the WBUR Public Radio Kitchen “eat-up”, sent us her favorite beet cake recipe. I’ll definitely be trying it soon and reporting [...]

My apologies Carolyn! In transferring names from paper to the site we inadvertently dropped a couple of folks.
Glad you could join us and hope to see you at the next one!
It was great meeting you all, and thanks to everyone who brought food, all of it was delicious.
In addition to my writing on food events and restaurants in Boston for examiner.com, I also cover the same topics and my adventures in cooking on by blog http://handsoftimeconcierge.wordpress.com
I am SO bummed that I missed it!!! I will definitely be there next time!

We had so much fun! And as you can tell from the photo, we clearly loved the food. Now I’m going to stalk Mary down for the lentil salad recipe!!
Erin’s cookies were amazing! So happy to have that recipe mystery solved.

Numerous apologies for the oversite Erin! And to think I even wolfed down your delectable creations.
Thanks for the link. I made sure we noted your contribution above.
