“This Sunday evening at Cochon 555 Boston, five piggies will be prepared and served by five Boston area chefs and washed down with wines from five winemakers (See? Five pigs, five chefs, five winemakers: 555).”

“Proceeds from the event go to Farms for City Kids, a nonprofit that gives children from urban centers (primarily New York City and Boston) the opportunity to visit and work on a farm in Vermont.”

  • And who says the USA doesn’t have an indigenous cuisine…Five serious, young chefs, competitively cooking locally-farmed pigs for a huge, eager crowd willing to pay $125 for delicious heritage-breed pork samplings. There was even a butchering demo. A wonderful event, and the winner was………Matt Jennings from Farmstead in Providence! Congratulations–the Carnitas was so good.
